Anthony Davis reportedly willing to be traded to Toronto Raptors

The rumours of Anthony Davis being traded to the Toronto Raptors just won't die . Davis, who was acquired by the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster trade last season that saw Luka Doncic head to the LA Lakers, is believed to be on the block once again as the Mavericks look to get younger. The 32-year-old has suited up for 19 games this season, averaging 20.3 points along with 11.1 rebounds. When it was first reported earlier this season that Davis was on the trading block, the Raptors were listed as a potential suitor. Though it remains unclear how interested their management group is in trading for the injury-prone star, it sounds as though Davis would be more than willing to head north of the border. "The Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors are two teams identified by league sources as potential suitors for Davis. League sources say Davis is believed to be amenable to both options, though it remains to be seen how motivated Atlanta and Toronto are to get a deal done," The Athletic's Christian Clark and Sam Amick wrote. Davis, who remains one of games most impactful players when healthy, is set to earn $58.5 million next season. He's also reportedly eyeing a massive contract extension this coming summer. The Raptors, who are in need of a centre, have had an impressive season to this point with a 22-15 record, good enough for fourth in the Eastern Conference. Whether Davis is worth the risk of acquiring, given his injury troubles, is up for debate, but Raptors fans should continue to hear rumours and speculation regarding a potential package for him between now and the Feb. 5 trade deadline.
