Galaxy on Earth - Starlight Festival sparks magic at Korea's botanical haven!

"As temperatures drop, a breathtaking transformation occurs at one of South Korea's most cherished botanical gems - the Garden of Morning Calm, nestled in picturesque Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province. Footage captured on Wednesday showcases the sprawling 330,000-square-metre garden, currently hosting its annual Starlight Festival, now an immersive and radiant wonderland that offers a captivating escape from the winter chill. The shrubs, bushes, trees, and pathways are draped in millions of colourful fairy lights, creating enchanting illuminated landscapes and whimsical tunnels that draw crowds eager to experience the magical displays. “Every five metres, we’re just taking pictures of everything, basically. So, yeah, we went to other places, but this was a really nice place to see, especially at night,” said visitor Lukas. Another visitor, Anna, added, “We are from Austria, so we don’t have this kind of stuff. It’s really a unique experience with this kind of lighting at night. It’s really beautiful.” As dusk falls, the garden awakens beneath the glow of countless LED lights, inviting visitors to meander along pathways in a tranquil environment. The annual event runs through the winter months, lasting from December 5 until mid-March."
