Bradley Cooper says he’s received a lot of compliments on his appearance amid a flurry of speculation he’s gone under the knife. Appearing on Monday’s episode of the SmartLess podcast , the Silver Linings Playbook actor briefly touched on recent rumours that he’s undergone plastic surgery, but notably stopped short of a full denial. The subject came up when co-host Will Arnett – who acts alongside Bradley in the new film Is This Thing On? – was asked to name one thing about his co-star that most people don’t know. “I said, ‘Well, there’s a lot,’” Will responded, per an excerpt of the interview featured on E! News. “And then I was gonna say, because we keep reading... everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery. Everybody keeps saying that. I’m like, ‘What people don’t know is that he hasn’t!’” Bradley Cooper at the premiere of Is This Thing On? last year At that point, Bradley chimed in and suggested he’d been caught off-guard by the discourse. “Some people came up to me in the last couple of weeks,” he said. “And they’re like, ‘Oh, you look good!’” Will, however, interjected to say that the rumours made him “mad”. “People say that all the time, and it’s a hilarious thing,” he explained. “Everybody thinks that they know. You know, you read that bullshit stuff.” Bradley’s appearance came under heavy scrutiny at the 2025 New York Film Festival in October, where Is This Thing On? had its world premiere. Photos of the actor posing on the red carpet with his co-stars in the film, including Will Arnett and Laura Dern, led some online to suggest he’d undergone a facelift or other cosmetic procedures. Chatter about Bradley’s looks aside, Is This Thing On? has received widespread acclaim, with Rolling Stone calling it “a totally unexpected, left-field triumph”. The dramedy – the third feature-length film that Bradley has directed, and which is based loosely on the life of comedian John Bishop – follows a newly single father of two who pursues stand-up comedy after separating from his wife.
