India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, speaking in Paris, highlighted the growing depth and potential of India’s engagement with Europe during the Weimar format meeting. Calling France India’s earliest strategic partner in Europe, he underlined the special quality of bilateral ties and ongoing cooperation on global and regional issues. Jaishankar said discussions focused on India–EU relations, the Indo-Pacific, and the Ukraine conflict, set against a world facing strategic churn and uncertainty. Stressing multipolarity, he argued that deeper collaboration among like-minded partners is essential to stabilising the evolving global order.
