The Election Commission has eased rules for voters in Bengal. Certain electors, including students and government employees, can now send family members to hearings. This applies to those studying or working outside the state, or undergoing medical treatment. Elderly, sick, and disabled voters may also be exempted from personal appearances. Verification for these individuals will be conducted at their homes.
