Finland concerned over US remarks on Greenland

Finland has expressed concern over recent comments from the United States suggesting a possible acquisition of Greenland, as international pressure mounts around NATO cohesion and respect for international law. Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen told reporters on Thursday that Finland is following the situation closely and supports Denmark and Greenland’s right to self-determination. She added that remarks made by US leaders must be taken seriously, though there is no evidence of a military operation being planned.
