Clinton Trump split edit Hillary Clinton denounced President Donald Trump’s crusade against immigrants in a searing X post about a woman who was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday. The former Democratic presidential candidate shared a photo of a candlelight vigil for the victim , who has been identified as Renee Nicole Macklin Good, while writing, “Last night, at the corner where an ICE agent murdered Renee Good, thousands of Minnesotans gathered in the frigid dark to protest her killing.” “In the face of this administration’s lawless violence, solidarity is the answer,” Clinton continued. “They want to mold America to their cruelty. We refuse.” Last night, at the corner where an ICE agent murdered Renee Good, thousands of Minnesotans gathered in the frigid dark to protest her killing. Footage from the scene contradicts Trump’s narrative. Witnesses recorded masked officers approaching Good’s car, which was positioned across the road in front of ICE vehicles. After an agent grabbed the door and reached inside the vehicle, Good backed up slightly, repositioned the vehicle and then pulled forward. Another agent who had approached the front of Good’s vehicle could then be seen firing directly into the car, killing Good. No agents were run over. Nonetheless, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem shared Trump’s stance during a Thursday news conference in New York City, where she claimed Good had committed “an act of domestic terrorism.” At a Thursday White House briefing, however, Vice President JD Vance hedged on whether Good had deliberately tried to strike agents with her vehicle. “Look, I don’t know what’s in a person’s heart or in a person’s head, and obviously, we’re not going to get a chance to ask this woman what was going on,” he told the press. “What I’m certain of is that she violated the law,” Vance went on. “What I am certain of is that that officer had every reason to think that he was under very serious threat for injury or, in fact, his life.” Related...
