CEBU CITY —Two more bodies were recovered  at the collapsed Binaliw landfill early Sunday, Jan. 11,  bringing the death toll to six, a local official said. Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak, chairperson of the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, confirmed that the bodies of two women were retrieved at 1 a.m and 6 a.m. Rescuers had to battle heavy rain, hazardous debris and the risk of methane gas when they continued search operations at the landfill on Saturday night.
