The wind was blowing the rain sideways, as it only does in the Kingdom. But in Killarney town centre on Thursday, thoughts had moved on from the weather and were drifting across the pond towards Los Angeles to the Golden Globes tonight and the not-quite-impossible dreams of Oscar glory in March.
