"Milan continued its preparations at the Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena as parts of the venue remain unfinished ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Footage shows facilities such as entrances and elevators inside the arena still under construction with unpainted walls and floors. Construction workers can also be seen arriving as renovations continued. "It's still a construction site, because the roads are still a bit blocked, we had to get there on foot and not just with the car outside," a local commented. "There is still some work to be done; this month, they have to work day and night to put it in place," another added. COI sport director Pierre Ducrey detailed areas that were still under construction, such as the hospitality spaces and parapets of the third floor. "Much more work will be done when you come here in February, and we're going to have a fantastic venue," he added. In a press conference, International Ice Hockey Federation president Luc Tardif said that although parts of the rink and arena might not be complete in time, the playing surface, practice facilities, and dressing rooms would be ready when the tournaments begin on February 5 and 11. The 16,000-seat facility will host ice hockey competitions of the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will be held from February 6 to 22."
