A man has died following a diving tragedy in Mahia. Police were called at 9.20pm on Sunday and notified that a man had died earlier in the evening following the incident off Wainuiorangi Rd on the Mahia Peninsula. A police spokeswoman said the person was found in the water and no rescue was involved. The death will be referred to the Coroner.
