Sara Discaya pleads not guilty to graft raps during Cebu arraignment

CEBU CITY — Businesswoman Sarah Discaya pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges of graft and malversation of public funds in connection with the alleged P96.5-million “ghost” flood control project in Davao Occidental. Discaya entered her plea during her arraignment on Tuesday morning before the Regional Trial Court Branch 27 in Lapu-Lapu City.  She was arraigned alongside Maria Roma Rimando, president of Discaya-owned St. Timothy Construction, and eight officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) who are also facing charges in the case.
