Francophone Africa, stretching from Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire in the west, through Cameroon and central Africa, to Morocco and Tunisia in the north, is experiencing strong but uneven startup growth. While the region still trails Anglophone hubs like Nairobi and Lagos in total capital raised, innovation (mainly in fintech) is deeply embedded, and non-fintech segments are finally attracting attention from builders and investors alike.
