Fiona and Rachel had an explosive row on The Traitors last week This article contains spoilers for the most recent instalment of The Traitors. After being banished by the “Faithfuls” last week, The Traitors favourite Fiona has opened up about her time in the castle – and that explosive moment with fellow “Traitor” Rachel. In Thursday’s episode of the Bafta-winning reality show, Amanda was banished by the group, after which Rachel informed the rest of the cast that the now-eliminated contestant was actually a detective, who had been using her expertise to try and help them hunt down a “Traitor”. Fiona then tried to use this moment to her own advantage, declaring Rachel a liar in front of everyone and accusing her of inventing Amanda’s secret job. This subsequently led to an explosive exchange between the two “Traitors”, which continued in the turret, and ended up backfiring for Fiona, who was eventually voted out herself the following day. Things got very awkward in the turret after Rachel and Fiona's bust-up During an appearance on Monday’s edition of This Morning , Fiona revealed exactly why she called out her fellow “Traitor”, explaining that, in her own life, she has always done things “her way” and felt she had to ruffle feathers as she feared being thrown under the bus by Rachel, who she described as a “wonderful player”. Pointing out that Rachel and Stephen had already “had an opportunity to build an alliance” when she was still undercover as the “Secret Traitor”, Fiona recalled: “I was going in and I wasn’t sure about what they thought of the decisions I previously made. So I was going into an already formed relationship, which could be a thorn in their side.” She then confessed that she actually didn’t feel certain Rachel was lying about her conversation with Amanda, and was “90% sure she was telling the truth.” When This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley asked Fiona if she regretted her decision to call out Rachel, she stood by her past actions, insisting: “What’s done is done.” “You can’t change the past,” she added. “You just have to think to yourself, ‘well, this has happened’. I’ve got to move forward. Otherwise, I’d be spending all my life biting my nails and worrying about things. “So, I did what I did. I can’t change it. You live with the consequences. And my consequence was boom, off you go. I went down in a blaze of glory. I mean, it was a spectacular self-combustion.” Despite the on-screen spat, Fiona maintained that she is still firmly “Team Traitors” and “wants those two to go” all the way to the final. She also confirmed that she’s still in regular contact with the cast, although speaking about The Traitors is purely off-limits in their group chat. “We all agreed that we wouldn’t discuss it,” she teased. “So, we discuss many things, but we don’t discuss The Traitors.” The Traitors continues on BBC One at 8pm Wednesday, with episodes airing each week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
