"Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic warned global instability was rising as he spoke in Abu Dhabi during a visit to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, as he commented on growing tensions in the Middle East. "We saw a huge number of people taking to the streets to support the Islamic Revolution, but also many who oppose foreign intervention and demonstrators calling for changes and outside interference. So it seems to me that the situation is uncertain," Vucic said. "A Pandora’s box has been opened on all sides, and no one can control it anymore. Every morning, you wake up to different news. We must maintain full stability, take care of ourselves, continue to work, and believe in ourselves, our potential, and our strength," he added. Commenting on Greenland, Vucic criticised the West for applying international law inconsistently. "They are invoking the United Nations Charter because they believe they would always belong to the strongest Western bloc," he explained, "When it came to Serbia, they did not care at all about international law, nor did they care about small countries that sought to uphold the UN Charter." The visit coincides with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, where Vucic is participating in panels on economic partnerships and sustainable development."
