Food safety recall for L’Authentique chicken and duck parfait 100g

A chicken and duck parfait has been recalled because of a failure of food safety controls. New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS) is supporting Charcuterie Du Pacifique Sud in its recall of L’Authentique Chicken & Duck Parfait. “The concern with this product is that it has been produced without the required food safety controls being followed,” NZFS director food risk management Jenny Bishop said. NZFS has advised people not to eat the 100g version of the parfait with a use-by date of August 24, 2026. “You can return it to the place of purchase for a refund,” Bishop said. “If that’s not possible, throw it out.” The parfait was sold at supermarkets and retailers across New Zealand, according to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), and does not affect any other L’Authentique brand products. L'Authentique Chicken & Duck Parfait (100g) has been recalled. The products have been removed from shelves and have not been exported. MPI advised customers to check the date mark on the lid of the product, while retailers have been told to display a point of sale notice for the product in stores for a month. Anyone who has consumed the product and is concerned for their health should contact a health professional or call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for free advice. NZFS has not received any reports of associated illness. Retailers who sold the parfait have been advised to display this notice in-store for a month.
