The world recorded its third-hottest year on record in 2025, extending an unprecedented streak of global heat with no relief expected in 2026, US and EU climate scientists said on Wednesday. The past 11 years were the warmest on record, with temperatures exceeding 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels on average.
