MANILA, Philippines — Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on Monday convened several Cabinet secretaries amid rumors of an impending revamp. In a statement on Wednesday, the Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) said the officials discussed the Marcos administration’s priorities and development agenda. "Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto convened on Monday key Cabinet Secretaries to ensure the strategic alignment of the 2026 National Budget with the administration’s priorities and development agenda," the OES said. Present during the meeting were Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon, Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, Social Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez, acting Budget Secretary Rolando Toledo, Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, Presidential Management Staff Secretary Elaine Masukat, and Finance Undersecretary Karlo Fermin Adriano.
