MANILA, Philippines — Nine cops were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the abduction and killing of cockfighting aficionados (sabungeros), the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group National Capital Region (CIDG NCR) said. The police officers were already in restrictive custody at the CIDG NCR in Camp Crame, Quezon City, its chief Col. John Guiagui told reporters. “We are hoping there will be more of them.
