Pakistan criticises India’s NSA for ‘avenge history’ remarks

Pakistan on Wednesday condemned comments by Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who urged Indians to “avenge our history” and build a strong nation. Doval made the remarks while addressing youth in New Delhi, calling on them to draw strength from India’s past struggles and use “vengeance” to enhance the country’s power in security and economic sectors, according to Indian media. Responding to media queries, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi described the comments as “hardly surprising coming from camouflaged hate-mongers,” and said such rhetoric undermined regional peace and stability.
