Two men die in separate industrial accidents

Two men died in separate industrial accidents in Kai Tak and Tsuen Wan on Wednesday. In one of the cases, three gas cylinders reportedly fell from a crane at a construction site on Po Fung Road in Tsuen Wan at around 1.30pm, hitting three workers below. Two were seriously injured, and one of them – a 29-year-old man – later died in hospital. In the other incident, police received reports at around 4pm that two workers were struck by a platform board at a construction site on Sheng Fung Lane in Kai Tak. One of them, a 66-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other injured worker was also hospitalised. The Labour Department said it is investigating both accidents.
