Phivolcs records increased activity at Kanlaon Volcano

BACOLOD CITY—A total of 62 volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes were recorded at Kanlaon Volcano from 12 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) to issue a notice of increased seismic activity and to advise the public to stay vigilant. Mari-Andylene Quintia, Phivolcs resident volcanologist at the Mt.
