CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — A total of olive ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) hatchlings were released into the sea on on Thursday morning after hatching at a protected site in Barangay Navotas here. The hatchlings came from 112 eggs discovered on November 22 last year by Bantay Dagat member Robert Alfante in Barangay Nag-iba II. The eggs were immediately transferred to a hatchery for safekeeping, city officials said.
