Deportation looms for Russian vlogger jailed in Taguig case

MANILA, Philippines — Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, the Russian vlogger jailed after livestreaming himself harassing Filipinos in Taguig City, may now be deported from the Philippines, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Thursday. “The Board of Commissioners has issued a deportation order against Vitaly Zdorovetskiy,” BI Legal Division Chief Arvin Santos told reporters in Quezon City. He said the deportation order is subject to clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), as well as the courts where cases against Zdorovetskiy were filed.
