LUCENA CITY — A 68-year-old passenger was killed, and eight others were injured after the van they were riding in crashed into a concrete road barrier on Thursday, Jan. 15, police said. Quezon police reported that a Manila-bound Toyota Innova driven by a man identified only as “Richard” accidentally struck a concrete barrier separating the overpass and underpass along the diversion road in Barangay Gulang-Gulang at around 2:59 a.m. All occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries due to the impact.
