Bahrain: Man Jailed After Using Stolen Cards To Buy Luxury Car

The High Criminal Court has sentenced an Arab national to three years in prison and fined him BD3,000 after convicting him of using stolen foreign-issued bank cards. The court also ordered his permanent deportation following the conviction, which stemmed from an attempt to purchase a luxury vehicle from a car dealership in the kingdom. The defendant attempted to complete part of the vehicle’s payment using stolen bank cards through an electronic payment link.
