Building costs rose by 0.9 per cent in Finland in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Finland. Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in timber structures, 7.6 per cent. Costs decreased most in the year in steel structures, 3.2 per cent. Labour input costs increased by 1.9 per cent in last year compared to 2024. The costs of materials increased by 0.8 per cent while the costs of services decreased by 2.7 per cent compared to the previous year.
