ECHAGUE, Isabela—Seven poultry farms operating in this town have been ordered temporarily closed this week following mounting complaints from residents over foul odors, excessive flies, and alleged health risks. The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), together with the Municipal Health Office (MHO), conducted inspections after receiving a series of complaints from villagers about pungent odors and fly infestations that were said to threaten public health and environmental sanitation, health officials said.
