MANILA, Philippines — Eleven police officers were dismissed from the service over their alleged involvement in the disappearance of cockfighting aficionados (sabungeros), the National Police Commission (Napolcom) announced on Friday. “The Commission finds [the] respondents… culpable for six counts of grave misconduct and one count of unbecoming of a police officer and are meted with the maximum penalty of dismissal from the police service,” Napolcom Executive Officer Rafael Calinisan said in a press briefing in their Quezon City office.
