Man before Derry court charged with common assault in connection with alleged Great James Street incident

Derry Magistrate's Court has been told that a woman who was walking in Great James Street in the early hours of January 14 felt 'apprehension' because a man appeared to be following her, while a solicitor for the accused contended that this was a homeless man who was simply wandering the streets 'with no idea he was causing apprehension to anyone'.
