Union Minister Piyush Goyal said India’s startup revolution has become a nationwide movement, with nearly half of all startups emerging from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and a presence across every Union Territory. Citing examples from the North-East, Assam’s tea gardens, Andhra Pradesh’s rise as a drone hub, and Karnataka and Tamil Nadu’s leadership in deep tech and AI, he said the world is now looking at a confident, innovation-driven New India.
