The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the leading party in the municipal corporations of Nagpur, Akola, and Amravati in eastern Maharashtra. The Congress secured the top position in Chandrapur. The BJP retained power in Nagpur for the fourth consecutive term, winning a significant majority of seats.
