CM Transport Vision 2030: Modern Command & Control Centre set up at PTC HQs in Lahore

LAHORE: Under the Transport Vision 2030 of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a significant milestone has been achieved with the establishment of a modern Command and Control Centre at the headquarters of the Punjab Transport Company in Lahore. This advanced facility will enable effective, real-time monitoring of transport activities across the province. Through the Command and Control Centre, complete oversight of bus operations throughout Punjab will be ensured, leading to improved operational efficiency, enhanced passenger safety, and better service delivery standards. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Punjab Transport Company, Kausar Khan, stated that providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality travel facilities to the public remains the company’s top priority. He highlighted that Punjab Transport Company has successfully launched an international-standard electric bus service across the province, marking a major step towards a modern and environmental friendly transport system. The CEO announced that the bus service is being provided completely free of cost for senior citizens and students, while the fare for general commuters has been fixed at a nominal Rs 20 to promote public convenience and affordability. Kausar Khan emphasized that in line with the people-friendly vision of the Chief Minister Punjab, comprehensive reforms are being introduced in the provincial transport system. Under Transport Vision 2030, efforts are underway to develop a sustainable, modern, and efficient urban mobility system that meets future transportation needs. Punjab Transport Company remains committed to utilizing all available resources to modernize the transport sector and to provide reliable and affordable public transport services to citizens across the province.
