KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party has announced its support to Workers Union of Port Qasim (with election symbol Star) in a referendum among the trade unions of dock workers at Port Qasim. The referendum is scheduled for Monday ( Jan. 29), wherein the CBA will be elected. The main contest in the referendum is expected to be between the Workers Union of Port Qasim (Election Symbol Star) and the Karachi Harbour and Dock Workers Union (Election Symbol Shaheen). The total number of voters is 1,151, while polling will continue from 9 a.m to 5p.m without any break. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
