LAHORE: Minister for Information and Culture Punjab Azma Bokhari has said that the performance of the Punjab government is not limited to slogans or claims but is clearly visible on the ground through tangible results. She said that the true benchmark of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s performance is transparency in projects, effective monitoring, and real relief for the public. Azma Bokhari said that historic and revolutionary reforms have been introduced in Punjab’s healthcare sector, ensuring access to quality medical facilities for citizens. She announced that the OPD of Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital and a state-of-the-art Cardiology Hospital in Sargodha are set to be inaugurated this month, which will provide significant relief to the public. She added that the provision of free medicines in government hospitals, establishment of field hospitals, and initiatives such as “Clinic on Wheels” represent a major transformation in the healthcare sector. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is personally supervising all development projects and programs to ensure timely delivery and quality services for the people, she added. She further stated that clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have been introduced to evaluate the performance of government officers. Officers demonstrating outstanding performance are appreciated and awarded certificates, while negligence or inefficiency is not tolerated. Azma Bokhari emphasized that Maryam Nawaz does not compromise on public relief or the safety and protection of citizens under any circumstances. She said that those engaged in politics of contradictions—“half one thing, half another”—are politically irrelevant and lack any clear stance or public agenda. She added that elements whose entire politics revolves around protests, disruption, and chaos should not be expected to deliver public relief. “Politics is about service to the people, not about staging street spectacles every month,” she remarked. Azma Bokhari concluded by stating that under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government remains firmly committed to service, transparency, and public welfare—a governance model that stands as an example for other provinces.
