Ada triggers rockslide, kills 2 in Sorsogon

LEGAZPI CITY — Two residents of Barangay Bariis in Matnog town, Sorsogon province, were killed early Saturday (Jan. 17) when a rockslide triggered by Tropical Storm Ada destroyed their home, authorities said. According to the Matnog Municipal Police Station, the incident occurred at 12:10 a.m. during heavy rains.  The collapsing structure buried the two victims — a 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman — who were asleep at the time.
