Director of Broadcasting Angelina Kwan said Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) would deepen collaboration with mainland broadcasting organisations in areas such as programme content, production technology and talent training. She made the remarks after leading a delegation from the SAR's public broadcaster on a visit to Beijing and Tianjin from January 11 to 16. In Beijing, Kwan met Han Dong, a deputy director at the National Radio and Television Administration, with the two holding discussions on forging closer ties between RTHK and mainland media organisations. Kwan expressed gratitude over the central broadcast regulator's support for RTHK’s work and expressed hopes that collaboration with mainland media groups could be enhanced to enrich its programme content. The delegation also visited China Media Group, Beijing Radio & Television Station and Youku in the capital. On their next stop in Tianjin, the delegation visited Tianjin Haihe Media Centre, the new media and communication school at Tianjin University, as well as the Tianjin Conservatory of Music to discuss plans to co-organise programmes on themes such as culture, travel and art.
