"Syria's transitional government forces were seen queueing on the roadside on Saturday before entering the city of Deir Hafer, eastern countryside of Aleppo, as the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) withdrew from the area. "The preparations are full since yesterday, and the brothers are on alert, and we will enter Deir Hafer God willing," Abu Raja Artab, a fighter from the 60th division, stated. "The preparations are great with full weapons, thank God, and the brothers' morale is high with strength and determination bestowed by God. We ask God to give us steadfastness to force them to flee, and we can enter the area as we did in Sheikh Maqsoud," he continued. The Operations Command of the transitional government announced that it has already begun deployment in the western Euphrates region from the city of Deir Hafer, affirming the 'complete establishment' of military control over the city and working to secure the city before advancing towards the areas of Maskanah and Dibsi Afnan. This comes after Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander Mazloum Abdi announced to withdraw its forces from the current contact lines east of Aleppo to the east of the Euphrates, followed by calls from international mediators aimed at "completing the integration process and upholding the provisions of the March 10 agreement." The Kurdish declaration was preceded by transitional President Ahmed Al Sharaa's announcement of a constitution that 'recognises the rights of Syrian Kurds', comprising eight provisions that guarantee the Kurdish language as a national language - alongside Arabic – and the celebrations of their Ensures heritage and other rights. The development unfolded following deadly clashes between the two sides in the neighbourhoods of Ashrafiyeh and Sheikh Maqsoud last week. SDF militants eventually pulled out of the two neighborhoods. On March 10, an agreement was inked between the President of the transitional government, Ahmed Al Sharaa, and SDF commander Mazloum Abdi to integrate 'all civil and military institutions of the Kurdish self-administration into the Syrian state' by the end of 2025. The agreement has not yet been implemented at the time of publication, with periodic clashes between the two parties."
