KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato — Unidentified gunmen ambushed and killed a village official and a militiaman in Arakan town, Cotabato province on Saturday morning, Jan. 17. Major Reynante Pascua, Arakan municipal police chief, identified the victims as Jerry B. Prande, 50, village chief of Barangay Malibatuan, and his nephew Gemar Prande, 41, a paramilitary who has been serving as his escort.
