His self-coronation comes after he threatened to punish countries that don’t support his Greenland grab with new tariffs. “I may put a tariff on countries if they don’t go along with Greenland, because we need Greenland for national security,” Trump said during an unrelated White House meeting on rural healthcare on Friday.
