Don't worry, deer! - EMERCOM employees rescue roe stuck on ice of Volga River in Russia's Saratov region

"The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) reported that its employees helped a roe deer that was stuck on the ice of the Volga River in the Saratov region on Thursday. Footage shows a man carefully placing the frightened animal onto a hovercraft and releasing it back to the wild. The agency specified that the animal was found during a joint preventive operation in the river area involving specialists from the State Inspection for Small Vessels and rescuers. At this time of year, animals migrate and run out onto the ice, where they lose their balance and fall. This often results in torn tendons or broken legs, leaving them unable to stand up."
