DGCA fines IndiGo Rs 22.20 crore for December flight chaos that stranded over 3 lakh passengers

India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has fined IndiGo Rs 22.20 crore for large-scale flight disruptions in early December 2025 that left over three lakh passengers stranded. The action follows an investigation that found overworked crew rosters, weak planning, and poor implementation of revised duty norms were behind widespread delays and cancellations.
