Dylan Villanueva, 29, has been arrested and charged with murder for the fatal shooting of John Crockett, 54, in Houston's Sunnyside neighborhood on October 22, 2025, court records show. Crockett was found dead with a gunshot wound after crashing into a telephone pole, following a confrontation with the suspect, who fled the scene on foot. Villanueva is scheduled for a preliminary court appearance on January 20.
