MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Metro Manila and in Rizal will have water service interruptions this week due to maintenance works, according to Maynilad and Manila Water. Maynilad said Brgy. 36, Brgy. 39, Brgy. 189, Brgy. 188, Brgy. 189, Brgy. 190, Brgy. 191, Brgy. 193, Brgy. 194 and Brgy. 196 in Caloocan will have service interruptions from January 18 to 25 between 11:01 p.m. to 3 a.m. because of leak exploration activities. In Manila, several villages in Binondo, Pandacan, Sampaloc, Santa Cruz, and Tondo will have no water from 11:01 p.m. to 3 a.m. also on the dates of January 18 to January 25 also because of leak detection activities. Also, several villages in Santa Cruz and again in Tondo will be subjected to leak exploration activities and will have service interruption starting from January 19 until January 25 from 12:01 a.m. until 3 a.m. In Valenzuela City, Brgy. Gen. T. De Leon, Brgy. Karuhatan, Brgy. Malinta, Brgy. Marulas, Brgy. Maysan, and Brgy. Parada will have water service interruptions for several days between 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. each day, because of water network maintenance activities on several roads near the villages. The water interruptions in Valenzuela will be from January 19 to January 23. Meanwhile, Manila Water said parts of Brgy. Marikina Heights in Marikina City will have no water on January 20-21 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of step testing activities for leak detection. Some areas in Brgy. Malanday, Marikina will have a service interruption also on January 20-21 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. In Taguig City, Brgy. Central Bicutan will have water interruption on January 21-22 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of the replacement of a line meter. Some parts of Brgy. Pembo, Taguig will also have no water on January 21-22 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of step testing activities for leak detection. In Quezon City, some places in Brgy. Santa Cruz and Brgy. Pasong Tamo will have no water on January 22-23 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of step testing activities. In Rizal province, some areas in Brgy. Mahabang Parang, Binangonan will have a water service interruption on January 19-20 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to the pull out of a centrifugal pump in the water system. Some parts of Brgy. San Andres and Brgy. San Roque in Cainta will also have no water on January 19-20 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of leak detection activities. Also, some locations in Brgy. Manggahan in Rodriguez will have a water interruption on January 20-21 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to the replacement of a gate valve in the water system. Next, Brgy. San Isidro, Brgy. Poblacion Ibaba Brgy. Poblacion Itaas, Brgy. Bagumbayan, in Angono, and Brgy. Pag asa in Binangonan will experience a service interruption on January 21-22 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. because of step testing activities for possible leaks. Some parts of Brgy. Tatala in Cardona will have no water on January 22-23 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. because of the scheduled maintenance of the Mabuhay pumping station.
