Palace declares 11 special non-working holidays

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has issued several proclamations declaring special non-working days in one province, four cities, and four municipalities to allow locals to fully participate in their respective occasions. Proclamation No. 1129 declared February 10, 2026 a special non-working day in Bacolor, Pampanga to mark the celebration of Bacolor Day. Proclamation No. 1130 declared February 21, 2026 a special non-working day in Marinduque province to mark the celebration of the Araw ng Marinduque. Proclamation No. 1131 declared January 22, 2026 a special non-working day in Guiguinto, Bulacan to mark the celebration of the Halamanan Festival. The three proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on January 13. On the other hand, Proclamation No. 1132 declares February 17, 2026 a special non-working day in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay to give residents the full opportunity to celebrate the Araw ng Kabasalan. Proclamation No. 1133 and 1134 declared January 15, 2026 and May 7, 2026 special non-working days in San Pablo City in Laguna to celebrate the Coconut Festival and its Charter Anniversary, respectively. The three proclamations were signed on January 14. Meanwhile, February 2, 2026 was declared a special non-working day in Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte in celebration of its 112th Araw ng Katipunan, and in Mabalacat City, Pampanga in celebration of its 314th Founding Anniversary under Proclamation Nos. 1135 and 1139, respectively. Proclamation No. 1136 declared February 6, 2026 a special non-working day in Consolacion, Cebu to mark the municipality’s 106th Founding Anniversary. In accordance with Proclamation No. 1137, Candoni, Negros Occidental will observe a special non-working day on February 11, 2026 to allow residents to participate in the Dinagyaw sa Tablas Festival, a festival meant to honor settlers who transformed dense forests into fertile land. Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija will observe a special non-working day on February 3, 2026 to mark its 76th Founding Anniversary, as stated in Proclamation No. 1138. The proclamations were signed by on January 15.
