The romantic Canadian sports drama centres around a secret relationship between professional hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, and has quickly made international household names of its stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams . Based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novel series , the show premiered across the pond last year, and is the most-watched on the Canadian network Crave to date, as well as one of the US streaming platform HBO Max’s most popular series ever. Following its debut on UK screens earlier this month, the romantic Canadian sports drama has now won over even more fans , with British viewers becoming obsessed with both the characters and the actors who play them. Here’s where you might have seen the stars of Heated Rivalry before… Connor Storrie Connor Storrie in his big scene in Joker: Folie À Deux Connor may showcase a Russian accent in Heated Rivalry in his role as Ilya Rozanov, but the actor is actually from Odessa, Texas. He started his career in 2018, appearing in adverts and short films, before landing a tiny, nameless role in Kathryn Hahn’s TV show Tiny Beautiful Things. In 2024, his big break came when he was cast in Joker: Folie À Deux, in which he played an Arkham Asylum inmate who is later implied to be the “real” Joker in one  of the movie’s key scenes. Hudson Williams Hudson Williams in the American drama Tracker Heated Rivalry is Hudson’s breakout role, but the Canadian actor has been appearing in short films since 2020. François Arnaud François Arnaud on the set of the period drama The Borgias François Arnaud is probably the highest-profile member of the Heated Rivalry cast. The Canadian actor, who plays Scott Hunter in the hockey drama, is best known for playing Cesare Borgia in the period drama series The Borgias. In addition to The Borgias, François played Oscar in Blindspot and starred as the troubled psychic Manfred Bernardo in Midnight, Texas. In 2011, she made her film debut in the movie Monsieur Lazhar, for which she won a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress. She later played Liesel in The Book Thief, earning her a Satellite Award nomination. Her other film roles include playing a young Joan Discher in the biographical film about the American educator, appearing as Casey in the coming-of-age drama Mean Dreams and as the titular character in Irena’s Vow. Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova as Yasmin in Strays Ksenia plays Ilya’s Russian friend Svetlana in Heated Rivalry, which is her most prolific acting role to date. The half-Russian, Toronto-based actor’s first credit was in the film Downsizing, and she has also had minor roles in The Boys, appeared in three episodes of Strays and portrayed Nicole in Adults. Among her other notable roles is playing Much in Robyn Hood, a retelling of the classic story which turns the mythical outlaw into a hip-hop artist who calls out injustices. Christina Chang Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim in The Good Doctor Christina Chang makes a minor but important appearance in Heated Rivalry, playing Shane Hollander’s business-minded mother. Before Heated Rivalry, Christina played Dr Sunny Macer in 24, had a recurring part as State Attorney Rebecca Nevins in CSI: Miami and played Megan Vannoy in Nashville. Her most recent recurring TV role was as Dr. Audrey Lim in The Good Doctor. Christina’s most recent roles, aside from playing Yuna Hollander, were the Rob Lowe comedy Unstable and the 2022 Lewis Pullman film Press Play. Robbie Graham-Kuntz Robbie Graham-Kuntz as Riley in Overcompensating Canadian actor Robbie played barista Kip in Heated Rivalry, in a small but memorable role as Scott Hunter’s love interest. His highest profile role before Heated Rivalry was starring as Riley in Benito Skinner’s comedy Overcoming. Sometimes credited as Robbie GK, he began his career in the Canadian teen drama The Next Step, before appearing in the gymnastics-themed film Full Out and the horror Antisocial 2. In 2020, he had a recurring role as Tempo 3 in the Hulu sci-fi musical series Utopia Falls. Dylan Walsh Dylan Walsh as Dr Sean McNamara in Nip/Tuck Dylan played David Hollander, the father of Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry, but is more associated for many with the role of Dr Sean McNamara in Nip/Tuck. His other notable TV roles include Al Burns in Unforgettable and Sam Lane on Superman & Lois. Nadine Bhabha Nadine Bhabha as Bianca in Letterkenny Nadine has a minor role as Kip’s friend Elena in Heated Rivalry. Outside of the hit sports drama, she has appeared in numerous Canadian series, including playing Bianca in Letterkenny, which was also co-created by Heated Rivalry’s Jacob Tierney. Her other credits include Gwen in One More Time and Devon in Settle Down. Callan Potter Callan Potter as Tristan in The Other Kingdom Callam Potter plays Shane’s teammate Hayden Pike in Heated Rivalry, and is best known for starring as Tristan in Nickelodeon comedy The Other Kingdom. The Canadian actor also appeared in seven episodes of the comedy Workin Moms and two episodes of The Murdoch Mysteries. Kamilla Kowal Kamilla Kowal as Bonnie in Letterkenny Kamilla, who has a small role as Jacki in Heated Rivalry, previously appeared as Bonnie in the rural comedy Letterkenny, appearing alongside her Heated Rivalry co-star Nadine Bhabha. Her other credits include a background role in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla and the recent TV movie The Prep School Disappearance. Brandon Ash-Mohammed Brandon Ash-Mohammed in Last One Laughing: Canada Brandon stars in Heated Rivalry as Shawn, Kip’s friend who encourages him to pursue a romance with Scott. Brandon is a Canadian stand-up comedian who you may have seen in the Canadian version of LOL: Last One Laughing Canada. He also won a Canadian Screen Award for his work writing for Canada’s Drag Race.
