Russian troops take control of Zaporozhye’s Priluki village - DefMin

"Unites with Russia's Eastern Group of Forces took control of the Priluki village in the Zaporozhye region, the country's Defence Ministry reported on Saturday. Footage shows FPV drones attacking enemy positions and hardware. "During active offensive operations, servicemen of the 394th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division with the Eastern Group of Forces advanced 2.5 kilometers into enemy defences on the western bank of the Gaichur River and liberated the Priluki settlement in the Zaporozhye region," the statement read. The ministry also claimed that Ukraine had suffered "significant losses in manpower and equipment", adding that taking control of Priluki created conditions for further advancement into the region. Kiev had not commented on the Russian Defence Ministry’s report at the time of publication. Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Ukrainian armed forces said that 117 combat clashes had been recorded in the past 24 hours. Moscow launched a military offensive in Ukraine in late February 2022 after recognising the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), claiming that Kiev had failed to guarantee their special status under the 2014 Minsk Agreements, and urging Ukraine to declare itself officially neutral and give assurances that it would never join NATO. Kiev denounced the Russian action as an invasion. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed martial law throughout the country, announcing a general mobilisation, while the EU and the US imposed several rounds of sanctions on Moscow."
