Northern Samar PESO program boosts income for youth, PWDs

TACLOBAN CITY — Northern Samar’s short-term jobs program gave out-of-school youth and vulnerable groups income and experience, the Northern Samar Public Employment Service Office (NSPESO) said. A total of 268 beneficiaries—23 persons with disabilities (PWDs) and 27 solo parents or financially disadvantaged individuals—received P5,000 each after completing the 10-day program, which concluded on January 14. Under the program, out-of-school youth were deployed to various offices at the provincial capitol, where they assisted with clerical tasks and documentation.
