CNF seizes 1.14 tons of narcotics on motorway

LAHORE: The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) has successfully foiled a major drug smuggling attempt during an intelligence-based operation conducted on the M-1 Motorway. Acting on credible information, CNF intercepted an oil tanker near the Burhan Rest Area and recovered a massive consignment of narcotics concealed inside the vehicle. During the search operation, a total of 1,140 kilograms (1.14 tons) of narcotics were seized, including 860 kilograms of weed/hashish and 280 kilograms of opium.
