On the first day of UMEX & SimTEX 2026, the UAE signed four major defence contracts worth AED879.785 million. Deals with EDGE Group and Diveco International cover unmanned vehicles, advanced aircraft, and remotely operated systems. Announced by Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, the contracts strengthen local capabilities, foster technology transfer, and highlight the UAE’s growing role in advanced defence industries.
